Orange County Study Tour

On April 8, 2022, the UCLA Center for Community Schooling was pleased to host an in-person study tour for mental health professionals from the Orange County Department of Education. The team learned about the UCLA Community School’s history and school design process, toured the art-filled campus, and met with members of the school’s support team, including psychiatric social worker Debbie Bailey, middle school counselor Jasmine Munoz, and assistant principals Rebekah Kang and Queena Kim. The lively conversation focused on how the school has developed an integrated multi-tiered system of support in response to the unique needs and strengths of its community.
