UCLA Community School Principal Honored At Teacher-Powered Conference

Queena Kim, Principal of the UCLA Community School, received the 2022 Teacher-Powered Schools Extraordinary Achievement Award at the Teacher-Powered Schools Conference in Minneapolis, in November. Associated Administrators of Los Angeles (AALA) recognized UCLA-CS as “a special place, and its work with students and staff is outstanding. The team was honored because of their teacher-powered autonomies and practices to create student-centered learning for all students and their commitment to sharing power with students, families, and educators at the site” (AALA Newsletter, November, 2022).
