The Ontario-Montclair School District Data Use Case explores the efforts of Lincoln Elementary School to increase overall attendance and reduce chronic absenteeism. Lincoln met their goal through a holistic, data-informed, and deeply relational approach to student attendance, with chronic absenteeism dropping by nearly 10 percentage points over two school years. This achievement is especially notable given that nearly 30% of the student population has moderate to severe disabilities and regularly attends therapy appointments or hospital visits. Click below about Lincoln’s multi-faceted approach that also involves targeted health and wellness support provided through the Ontario-Montclair school district and a school-wide positive behavior reinforcement system.
